Ted Sutherland  AIA ACHA (emeritas)

Ted has lectured at numerous universities in the United States, Japan, China and the Baltic States as an expert in healthcare and research facility design and planning. He is an active member of the Academy on Architecture for Health and a founding member of the Center for Advanced Technology of the American Institute of Architects.  His design work has received national recognition including awards from Modern Healthcare, R&D Magazine and the AIA. He is also a founding member of the American College of Healthcare Architects

His special skills include acclaimed design, visionary planning and clear understanding and concern for his clients’ business.  Clients appreciate his ability to consolidate information into clear and effective responses that meet or exceed their expectations.

Ted has served as Corporate Director, Office Director, Healthcare Division Director, and Design Director at two  of the most influential A/E firms in the US
Ted has served as chief designer, planner and principal in charge on more than $3 billion worth of healthcare and research facilities.
